If you thought about an MT-07, it's just the suspension that needs the attention rather than the ECU.

I've been through the mill on this in myself.

Considered the CrossTourer, but further reading shows that it's heavier that an XT12 and GS!!! Plus bad reports on the TCS side of things...One guy described it as his "Aunt Mable who doesn't like him riding motorbikes, making him pause and consider what he did wrong".

Had a look/sit on a couple of Versys (650 & 1000), and didn't get any sparks of attraction.  I've only ever had 1 Kwaka, and I pretty much split it in half when I had a 70mph accident - not sure if just a memory / psychosematic thing...??

Tried a mates Tracer - and still can't get past the vibey bars and something I hadn't noticed before is the position it puts my knees in when riding...which I couldn't sustain for long...

So this leads me back to the Super10.

I had a word with CatsBum about his (that he had for all of 7months), and why he didn't gel with it...axle whine being the major bugbear for him.

He did (and has said on here) that BigDave is in love with his.

I also remember reading on here that there were some minor revisions to the original "First Edition" that addressed come of the inital "bugs" that owners were reporting, but for the life of me can't find that post, or any specific details around when that happened...some pointers indicate 2012, which could be useful as there is a 2012 for sale just round the corner from me.

The search continues...

I suggest you take one for a ride, my reaction after riding one was that its just like a bigger Tdm, unfortunately thats what stopped me getting one, cos Ive already got a Tdm!

Already have Chris.

Know what you mean, it is quite a familiar ride, but for my use case it works.

Plus it's not an addition for me, but a replacement.  Another TDM is still a consideration as well...but availability at a sensible price is limiting...

Mostly cosmetic by the looks, but with that engine cover gone can't guarantee the engine - which at that price

The udder thing is how much do them expensive boikes depreciate compared to a tdm ...which don't have that far to go in terms of depreciation.

I don't know oubt aboooot bike prices or how well they hold value so it's just a wonderment.

If I were closer, and keen, I would go and view it. Or else it might get delivered and you find the ECU is missing !

It says it doesn't run but is that only because the cover is missing ?   https://www.ebay.co....6.N36.S2.R2.TR3

It has a scrappage code of N which means it has no structural damage, according to the new scrappage codes

Replacing previous salvage categories A, B, C and D with

  • A: Scrap
  • B: Break
  • S: Structurally damaged repairable
  • N: Non-structurally damaged repairable

I not overly concerned about depreciation, as I work them until they start to cost more to maintain than what they're worth.

If it were a second bike then it would be something I'd consider more closely as re-sale would be a factor.

Yeah I guess with your miles it snot such a factor as mpg and running costs.

Stop making this harder Chris...
I don't mind the "odd grey", and the seat can be dealt with - but whats with those snow shovel hand guards - they're almost like a mono-brow!

I only say odd as they couldn’t seem to match the fairing colour with the tank

If you want a big twin of similar size/power to an S10 and with shaft drive but like for like often a bit less pricey have you thought about a Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport?
