I've got my rear wheel out and the exhaust can off just now, from my ABS model.

I cannot see why you can't run a single new hose direct from the rear caliper to the ABS unit along the top of the swingarm.

The metal section of part #28 goes down inside the s/arm, along the bottom and back up, and I can't see why. It's a metal tube, I think, so that it is narrow enough to miss the tyre and rigid so it cannot contact the tyre. Putting a hose above the arm seems to solve both hazards, plus also protect it from stuff bouncing up off the road. You'd need to use some suitable clips for the hose, but there are holes in the swingarm for the hugger's clips.

Hi! I've decided it's high time to change both brake lines on my 900 -06 ABS. How much demounting (if that is the right word) is necessary to reach the ABS-unit ? It seems seated in a dark an mysterious place. Do you lift the tank? Take out the battery? I've already removed the rear wheel.

Thanks in advance :-)
