Ok, I'm going to try putting some mesh in the side panel holes. I've bought a cheap sheet just to see what its like, but I have a question...
Its PVC coated woven fibreglass. Would there be any problem with using this material? I'm thinking more about heat than anything.

It seems quite sturdy. I've tried pulling it apart, stretching it and piercing it but its still good.
I didn't want to use metal or have too big holes in the mesh. So I got some black anti-bug mesh. Very fine holes and looks like it could do the job.

I'm going to have a go in a few weeks, The bike is still wrapped up due to Storm...Which one is it now?! When I get the bike serviced I've got so many mods to put on It'll be like getting a brand new bike!

That's the aluminium mesh used to strengthen car body repairs. A bit bendy but looks OK....the other side is a different story!!

Cheers fella, do you think if the mesh is too fine it would restrict the air flow?Just used Isopon P38. Cut mesh to shape and size. Just carefully not to get it on the outside / paintwork!

Ive found this mesh in Halfords and looks good enough but its rather fine...
Just twist RH wrist slightly to increase airflow
