Quick question, where does the vacuum hose from the fuel pump get attached too?

I can't find a drawing of this anywhere, I had a fuel problem and I think this may have been incorrectly fitted before which is why I had a fuel/oil issue.  This is a photo of the yamaha sticker on the inside of my fuel tank.

Thank in advance

Mikey

Oh by the way I don't gotta fuel tap, somebody previously disregarded it and now gasoline goes direct from tank to pump to carb without being able to turn the gas off or switch to reserve.

Mikey

As the petrol tap has been removed I don't think you would need the vacuum pipe connected but the carb end ( the brass stub referred to above ) should be blanked off as well.

I hope I have this right !

Err, yes, you would need the vac pipe connected as it provides vacuum for the mechanical fuel pump.

as Studley says you need vacuum to pump - plus you need to ensure other vacuum stub is blanked off - but you also need to be able to connect to it to balance carbs - i have a length of hose attached to unused vacuum stub with a blanking plug so it is easier to connect to manometer

Thanks guys,

I will put it where it's supposed to go now.  Yes there is another blanked off hose with I assumed was for balancing.

Gracias a todos.

Mike
