Maybe you're enjoying the dryer conditions and are able to brake more heavily than normal, with the front. That would cause a weight shift forwards making the rear end light and the rear brake prone to locking

Checked disc run out and thicknes, all okay. Only noticeable thing is one pad wearing more than the other ?
The mounting pins of the rear caliper could probably do with taking out and cleaning/lubing

A couple of times recently Ive managed to lock the rear wheel under heavy braking. Apart from a poor technique would there be any mechanical items to look at. I dont recall experiencing this as much in the past. I have ridden the bike for many years
I use my rear brake A LOT after I got the TDM (never really used it on previous bikes). It often locks the rear wheel, but since I have ABS, it isn't a problem
Not really helping you..., just saying that the TDM does lock the rear wheel very easily (it is a light bike with big brakes).
