Too true I'm afraid, I had to pay the standard fee of £150 before they'd let me have it back, my insurance had voluntary excess of £250 so didn't cover the fee. sad.gif

Also, you generally get 24hrs after they inform you, to collect the bike, after which they start charging a storage fee of around £25 a day.

Apparently, police forces have a number of ways in recovering vehicles so it may be different for you.
