Today I failed to get up in time to go with my local advanced group. Don't really feel like being "observed" anyway, takes the fun out of it!

I managed the 15 mile round trip to my local Yam dealer for a pair of mirror bung thingys - £1.10+VAT each ohmy.gif . I then spent Sat pm trying to sort the Scottoiler out but that's going to need some new bits dry.gif

And that is it for two wheels this weekend. This afternoon I'm going to my mates daughters 18th burpdy party BBQ- where there will be a large number of 17/18 yo girls - heaven or hell depending on your perspective/gender/age/ sense of propriety blink.gif

But in mitigation I'm off to Skye later this week for a few days. Please no rain and no wee shitety bitety things - fat chance.

Waaay to clean Mike biggrin.gif

Didn't do anything bikey yesterday but a quick run over to Newlands corner in a bit. Won't be particularly speedy as I'll be sheperding the girlfiend on her 125 but I'm suitably impressed that she suggested a ride over there.

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Found that I need a new fan motor! sad.gif after taking everything apart (including radiator), discover that the source of the annoying rattling is worn fan motor bearings... wonder if I can replace just the bearings? electric motor runs fine, check on internet and a new motor is very expensive (about 200 US$), found some used ones on ebay for around 40, but wonder if that's the reason they are for sale! unsure.gif electric motor looks like a seal unit... suggestions are welcome.

I'm re-dyeing my seat Man ! Yeah ! This acetone rocks ! Wehooo ! rotflmmfao.gif

I'll get it resprayed and then watch the Monaco GP while it dries. Then I'm off to Squire's rolleyes.gif

I don't think you'll get the fan motor bearings, you'll need the fan motor complete.

Oh yes, wonderful road but I tend to avoid it at the weekend! Too many caravans, weekend sightseers, weekend heroes on sports six hundreds, matching leathers and no idea. Plus all the aforementioned tend to attract far to many cops for my liking.

I'm only in Bromsgrove so may bump into you sometime.

Yes the Thunder Ace is one of the cleanest I've seen.

There is a common theme running through some of these threads, Scottoilers!
Mine got chewed up in the chain. My local dealer gave me all the bits I needed free of charge.
So I sorted this out today and gave my bike a much needed clean.

Well, fitted second Stebel horn yesterday and repaired 2 of the broken fairing fixings, drained the oil and put half back in (the correct amount lol) then had a little blat to Peterborough via Ramsey, Ponders Bridge and Stanground, spent an hour when i got back cleaning flies off of my bike and lid.

Had to work at 4am today, got home for Grand Prix and now watching Chelsea play another game without a clue

Then tomorrow off to Donington Park for the BSB (Come on Camier) then probably ride all the way home in terential rain and thunderstorms - ooooo the pleasures rotflmmfao.gif

Cheers
