Does anyone have a decent exploded parts diagram from a manual? I may just end up buying a manual if I can find one

4TX ecu will not work with 3VD engine. Firing order is all wrong.
Lee i agree but someone once said to me that it may work due to being a wasted spark ignition?? I still reckon the ignition signal pulse will fire at the wrong time, what say ye all?
spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

4tx is a 270 degree firing, 3VD is 360 degrees. I assume the spark firing timing of cylinder 2 will be out of kilter

From memory, someone used a 3vd ecu with a 4tx engine, or vice versa. It's the timing signal from the rotor magnets that determines when it sparks. Soooo, should work in theory.

well i can assure you guys , that i had a 4tx cdi , and that thing never fire up any of my 3vd ......

From what I can tell I will need:
1. Carbs
2. Wiring Harness
3 Spark plug wires
4. Radiator/plumbing
5. Clutch Cable
6. Shift Lever
7.Exhaust
Thats all I got if you see something I missed fill it in
if you are still in need any of this or other material , let me know i still have plenty of spare parts from my projects !!

Your correct mucka as i remember also, so assume from the previous post a superior 3vd cdi may well fire the lesser mk2
