That did the trick
Now you just need to find some more interesting roads
Got to drive miles for that, although the A25 from Dorking to Guildford has some nice bits.

What resolution do you use?
Where was it mounted?
What was the rattling noise?

Mounted it on the back of my left glove and got reasonable footage.
Worked out editing software and made a filum.
Now need to figure out how to make it public.

I understand it can use a 64gb SDxc and it does endless recording i.e overwrite when card is full.

Yes - although I opted for a 32GB card. that gives 5 hours at 720p60fps
not sure what the endless rec does yet, it says "allows you to record video with a fifteen minute time interval without stopping," I read that as a fifteen minute auto cut-off.

The overwrite facility does that as it is just a matter of using a small SD card.
The other option is tagging, the Drift HD Ghost has this and can be set to 5 minutes down to 30secs.. So if you have just been through a good bit of road or had an incident just hit the button and it back records the set time plus the present and future set time. Very handy. But it is £100 more than yours.

SWMBO got from Maplins
It records in 15 minute chunks of about 1.5Gb per chunk in 1080p HD, it will also output directly in HDMI, but I haven't tried that yet.
I reckon the battery will support about 3 hrs of filming.
The mounts, as supplied are a little wobbly, but I'm hoping a ram mount will sort that, the rattle is probably the clip on the strop I used as a secondary just in case the fecking thing fell off!
Or it might be the horn rattling around inside the fairing.

If you're sprawled over the front of a black cab/white van/other stereotype after a SMIDSY incident, possibly the last thing in your mind at the time is to remember to hit the tag buttonI have been looking for a camera that will record "that incident".
The overwrite facility does that as it is just a matter of using a small SD card.

I think both of these facilities would be popular with cyclists as well as motorcyclists.
I don't understand why the manufacturers have not concentrated more on them.
I would rather have them than super duper slow motion for example.

Jerry that is why the continuous or circular recording is a good thing as well.

I would rather have them than super duper slow motion for example.
There's loads of cameras for cars that do exactly that, but as you say not many weather proof ones around and cyclists and motorcyclists are more likely to need them.
I just acquired one of these for the car that's intended for exactly that purpose
