Same here, but at those prices, I won't be going down the PR3 route anytime soon when I can get a pair of tyres for only £40 more, or just a rear for £40 less!

Just checking Tony, do you remove valve stems before trying to seat the tyre?

yep, just couldnt get the bead to seat
had same issue last time but gave up with it then and the ol'guy dropped it down the local tyre shop for me, but that was possibly an issue with the tyre as it had previously been fitted to my mk1 wheel so the walls were pinched in a bit

They can be a bitch sometimes. The trick is to use a ratchet strap around the centre of the tyre to push the bead out a bit.

Not sure what part of the consumer-price is made up by material price. Still, all costs go up and so does UK inflation so better learn to be more gentle on the throttle, especially when accelerating in low gears and look further ahead to adjust your speed in time and smooth riding: Saves lots of rubber (and fuel) and you can still be as fast as before and be safer as a bonus laugh.gif
