Well, seems the real cost of coming home from one of my "Oz adventures" with a broken leg is to treat my lovely UK born Mrs B to a "White English/Scottish Christmas".
While air fares are so low at the moment, here we come for a month, say from around (+ or -) 20th December this year.
Where we're at :- We have a friend in Little Aston, Mrs B has a cousin in The Lakes District & I have an expat Aussie/Pom living in Edinvillie, Aberlour, Scotland and we love driving long distances enjoying the country side.
Will probably arrive via Heathrow & hire a nice warm car. That's as far as we've got so far. At least that's a start.
Would love & appreciate the opportunity to catch up/stay with locals along the way as much as possible ...... one night here, a couple a nights there, sharing our experiences of being colonial folk and then off we go on the next leg Willingly contributing along the way.
Ideas and offers greatly appreciated, please pm
