Mid Life Crisis ?

Why now ?
This is it !
Whats next?
Then the other day after visiting the father-in-law in his nursing home, ( bit of smell in there ! )
I suddenly thought, I will be like this in 30 odd years time, I will be 70 in less than 25yrs time !!!!!!!! Retired in 19yrs !!!!!!
Bloody hell my life is nearly over .......
Then a "panic feeling" like I better hurry up and do stuff before its to late .......
Is this normal or am I being a typical 900 rider ?

Doctor Dappers' diagnosis is incorrect - this is definitely a mid-life crisis Ivan and affects all men at 'a certain age', regardless of their chosen steed. I recommend quitting your job tomorrow and touring the world on your niner.
P.S. Doctor Matlock is not responsible for anyone paying attention to anything he says.....

Put it another way, it's just a number. 70 is just a number it's not the end of living. Go enjoy !

For me, it was when parent number 2 popped off - you then realise your own mortality - get on with it and make some more videos before you wish yer life away!

I think TDMick's signature is probably the best advice that still makes me smile and think "damn right" every time I see it.
I think saying Yes to things that you may consider saying No to, can lead to new experiences you may be denying yourself (of course this is dependant on the situation and may not be a good rule to undertake when drunk as you may end up walking funny and fuel the 9'er rumours more )

I'm so glad that I did it though.
I didn't tell Misses OGW until I turned up at the house with it.
It didn't go down too well, it has taken a long time but she loves it too now.

Gies a break. I've 35 days to go to i reach a certain age and the missus is windin me up every day....and 'cos of this shitty weather i can't get out on the bike. I'm going stir crazy, pacing the house like the caged bear (so she says).
Might just take a day off work next week and get out for a run during the day, no matter what the weather is.

And I must be one of the older ones here as I turned 60 last month. I just get on with life and do as I please. I run about 20 miles a week, bought that RSV Mille last month 'cos I can still ride without wetting myself (so BMW not yet required) still likely to crash the bike when gawping at a comely young lady and realise that I'll never now make all those goals I set out to achieve in my 20s and I really don't care, I'm happy.
