I feel your pain. Half a bag of Strong White, less than half a bag of Self Raising and about the same in Plain left. No bread, no cake and not many Yorkshire Puddings in my future.  :sorry:

Looks like a good few of us are building up a cake deficit, on the plus side there'll be more room for it when we can get it. :D

3 weeks ago I bought lots of flour and bits for baking so my 12 year old daughter could make us cakes, I've been teaching her how to bake at home as many moons ago I spent 8 years as a baker
She's been doing good :)

Apparently the issue isn't a shortage of flour, it's a shortage of capability to bag it in small bags.  You just need to find somewhere that will sell you a 25kg bag.  and then a lot of eggs....

Some peeps have had success buying flour from wholesale outlets. They're now opening up to the public due a slump in trade from restaurants and the catering industry. ;)

I live just a few miles from Skidby mill in East Yorkshire. If anyone could justify it as an essential journey I could have a ride on my bike and you could get some flour!
