Me again with another question. Could someone post a photo of the choke location for a 1996 4TX, for the life of me I can't remember. I've been through the gallery and can't spot one.

I think it's in the same place as the mk2a choke lever, next to the switches on the left.

Been a while since I had one but thought mk2 was a puller type what attaches near bars??

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Active member of TPLQHCSRSFC and TSRMCMAS (even though a year off) and avid fan of PM not sent.

Found a picky via der inter web search engun thingymebob and it's mounted to the left of ignintiononion barrel. It's pull me push me jobby so pre fuel gauge MK2A. New tyres now fitted, brakes being rebuilt (OEM kit doesn't do all 3 callipots, cheeky feckers), so 2 weeksish and parp parp parp with a proper scrub down after.

Pootle is probably the right word Dappers, haven't ridden for years so may need to fit some stabiliser's until I get used to it :good:

Here 'tis.  Photo taken in 2009 but it's still there (although that clunky cam mount is not!)


1996 TDM850 in Yellow, Motad Nexxus, MK1 bashplate, Acerbis handguards, K&N, Xenons, Aux lamps, Bluespot calipers, Renthal 755 bars, DIY panniers, JBX-inspired gear indicator.  (Currently not on the road.)

Bikes wot I have had and dun't have any more: 1983 Honda CB125TDC, 1976 Kawasaki S1C (early KH250 stroker triple), 1986 Honda VF500F2, 1992 Kawasaki KLE500.
