Sun was shining today so....

Started off on a road test to see if the new steering head and wheel bearings I'd just fitted are running ok and everything's all back together right.

Ended up doing a 150 miles extended test ride through the Cotswolds :dunno: .

Lunch at Burford and meandered home along the lanes. Emergency tea / biccy stop on lonely lane near Chadlington I think.

Tea shops are very thin on the ground in this area. Only a little rain fell for a few mins and the sunshine came out again.

Good idea with those handguard extensions Lee. Do they direct the rain away any better?

My rideout today was mostly boring M25 with a bit of a slow trundle through an autumn, tinged Epping forest.

biccy's were bourbon creams and fig rolls. I'd noted how Cliff liked the taper rollers in the steering head, so I did the same to my bike. There is a noticeable difference on turn in especially under braking.

The one I took out were not too notched but the handling is much improved. My front wheel bearings had very slight play in them, so I did them as it was noted by my eagle eyed mot man.

Seeing as the fronts were past it it was worth doing the rears and sprocket carrier as well.

The touratech handgaurd extensions keep hands almost totally dry and I don't get cold hands now, until winter ice cold means I have to break out the electric gloves and socks.

The extensions were a bit expensive at £25 IIRC.

Ohhh...lots of TDM's around the Cotswolds on Sat then...My sister lives in Broadway so had to have a quick trip up the hill to Troopers Lodge before returning to have tea and toast with her. Loads of bikes around but failed to see another TDM.
