I've just stuck the front wheel back in and my speedo drive routing looks a little odd... From the fiche it looks like I may be missing a cable guide (mounts on the caliper bolt), but I'm not sure that'd make it look any better!

Does this look right?!

Mine tucked in nicely between the lower caliper bolt and the caliper, you can see where the cable wants to go by the shape of it.

There should be a bracket (about 4inchs long as per photo) attached to the bottom caliper bolt

This holds the cable away from the caliper so that the cable has a straight run into the drive unitAttached File  tdm850 speedo cable bracket (1999).jpg   9.42KB   0 downloads

I don't think the later model has the bracket as it's an electric cable type doohickey, not a speedo cable.

Thanks all! :)

Incidentally I've just found this, in the 1999 service manual:

Apparently J is a 'holder', whatever that is.

I'll go for tucking it to the left of the caliper in the pic I think.
