Cleaning Petrol Tank

I am needing to clean of some slight surface rust from the inside of Mrs TDMTAM's Radian tank due to it being sat with no petrol in it over winter.
I take it the best method is the old "paraffin and a handful of bolts and shake it" method.

I used this stuff with fabulous results. And my tank wasn't just surface rust either :
