A man was clearing out his attic and came across an old violin and a country scene oil painting. He thought they may be worth something and so he took them to his local antique dealer.

The dealer examined the goods very carefully and finally looked the man in the face to make his announcement.

'What you have here', said the dealer, 'Is a Stradivarius and a Constable!'.

The man was dumbfounded, and immediately began thinking about a new car, a cruise or a motor home.

'Unfortunately', said the dealer, 'Stradivarius couldn't paint, and Constable was an awful violin maker'.

Struggled down to my antique dealer last week with something from my attic.

He said it was my water tank.
