Speedo on my 1991 bike stopped working so replaced cable but still not working so took front wheel off and Speedo Drive seemed gummed up and would only partially turn with force from screw driver so I guess it’s dead but looking at the wheel tags do they look normal before I fork out for new drive?

The tangs look okay from the photo and you will have some resistance when turning by hand, could also be the plastic cogs at the other end where the cable enters under the clocks need a clean up though..

I attached new cable to drill from wheel end and clock moved so think that end is good.

I was just concerned tangs where knackerd also wouldn't hurt cleaning the clock cogs. :good:

Must admit getting it off front wheel was fun since my front paddock stand was crap and kept getting in the way of axle so used trolley jack.

I really believe the opposite is the case - you need to get married before you (by natural causes) run out of mojo and will no longer get any without a legal claim to the sex of preference
