Just a quick message to anybody planning a ride out using the A57 Snake Pass route

Don't !

Its shut From both the Ladybower and Glossop junctions due to wall rebuilding

Been told it will be shut for about a week and then temporary traffic lights are going to be used on some sections.

I dunno if it's the councils' aptitude for bad timing but I went to Skeggy last Satdi and there was a 2 mile tailback both ways where they'd decided to resurface the road.  Satdi after bank holiday weekend ! :punishment:

Get the snow, salt, mud out of the way & Carlisle council brings out the grit. They are supposed to hoover the loose up after a couple of days after surface dressing but don't hold your breath :rant:
