A friend of mine has recently bought a lovely '08' reg 900 from a dealer in Yorkshire. However he's becoming increasingly concerned about the fact that it's got silver wheels and he's never seen another one like it.

 

And when I think about it neither have I. So the question is has any else? It's kind of niggling my mate just in case these's something not quite right about his noo bike. 

 

Everything else looks absolutely bog standard - apart from those pesky silver wheels.

Silver wheels were first fitted in 2009 on the silver bike, think that was the only year/bike that had them.

Was there ever a same-blue-all-over TDM?. Previous owner was a painter? Unique and looks good.

I have owned this bike for 7 years now and though she looks a bit different (Silver wheels and silver spot brakes), I found pictorial evidence of a previous sale and the bike has been the same since at least 6500 miles. She is the best all-round bike I've ever owned and there are no thoughts about selling.
