Yes, as of last week I'm the proud owner of a new pair of Daytona Roadstars :good:. The two year warranty sold me, plus I got them for a good price.

The bad news is that I won't be testing them anytime soon. My knees have always been dodgy since a rugby injury in my youth and at the weekend my right knee went into meltdown :(. By Sunday I couldn't bend it, couldn't put weight on it for long and it swelled up with fluid. I've seen the doc today and it's total rest, ice packs and ibuprofen for a few days. On Friday I'm getting the fluid drained and a steroid injection to hopefully get me going again. Then it's an X-ray to see what the extent of the damage is. She suspects I'll need an op at least and maybe a replacement knee joint :sorry:

I'm a bit late but for anyone else reading have a look at the forma cape horn boots, 2 years commuting in all weather and still waterproof

My forma boots gave in after some 3 years. A bit sluggish, but rugged. Disappointing when cracking and starting to leak.
