Finally got the chance to go for a ride down some of my favorite twisty A and B roads yesterday, doubling my total milage for the year to 130. I can't believe how rusty my riding has got. I'm snatching at the brakes, my throttle controll is terrible, my lines are all over the place, and overtaking a que at traffic lights I failed to spot a car pulling out of a driveway until I was almost underneith him (fortunatly we were both going slowly and he saw me about the same time I saw him).
On the plus side its a good excuse to get out and practice. smile.gif

Ride everyday is my motto. If you're getting back on a bike after a lay off just pootle around, stick to the speed limits and concentrate on forward visibility and throttle/grear use. Keep it upright wink.gif

even though i loath exercise i get in shape a couple months before riding season... push-ups, squats, sit-ups... arms, legs and stomach/back... bit of extra strength helps at the beginning of the season.

There's a riding season? huh.gif
Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

My theory is why have a six pack when you can have a keg?
