Yes I'm sure that would be fun. If it worked it would mean that K-line dash units might be interchangeable (with some tweaking)

The resistor is wired in series with the IAT, virtually on the back of it's plug

I added a resistor today, i must say its made a great deal of difference to the rideability, its almost smooth!!!! Im considering advancing the timing too. Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread, what JBX is doing is head crunching!!!

I've been running it for a couple of thousand miles, i checked the plugs last week to check the colour (also because I have 4 degrees timing advance) and they looked perfect. The residue inside the exhaust pipe was still grey, not black and overly sooty, so it is only a small change.

This project is brilliant!

I have been working on an arduino based data logger for my track bike using the following:

At Mega

Adafruit ultimate GPS datalogger shield

Bosch BN055 6 axis accelerometer shield

The data I am trying to capture for a kick off is:

GPS position

speed

rate of acceleration/deceleration

lean angle

TPS

Brake (just the switch at the moment but I would like to introduce a brake pressure sensor at some point.)

all this is to be output to a csv file where I can overlay the telemetry data onto my videos for analysis.

Further expansions to this are things like adding IR temp sensors pointing at the front and rear wheels so I have tyre temp data,

Great to have some other people interested in this sort of stuff as I am current on my own and a bit of a novice!

Hello by the way - its been a long time (circa 12 years)  but I am back with a TDM 900!

Still working on it !

_Dscf3061.jpg

Joke apart, I'm very busy these days and not much time for the project.

Latest update : I've switched to an Arduino Mega 2560 because it has more GPIO & analog inputs for the sensors, and also more program memory.

Still with the 2x16 chars display, but I'll also change the display for a 84x48 pixels Nokia lcd display.

If anybody needs the C++ source code, I'll post it on the web.

Works ok, needs some tweaking for sensors calibration...
