Gentlemen...
I picked up a 96 TDM as a lockdown project, stripped it down to the frame and have it ready for road...
Gave it a new Hagon shock and springs, adjusted valve clearances, rebuilt the carbs, new discs/pads/lines, Renthal bars, wrapped the fairings and tank...
Anyhow, it's running well and I'm happy with the result but have one small issue...
After running the bike, I have petrol leaking from both carb overflow pipes...
It's not much and it doesn't last for too long (certainly not enough to empty the bowls).
Does this sound like the float height is incorrect?
I'm not at all experienced with carbs, wasn't sure how to do it so put them back in the bike as they were...
Any tips for doing the job?
Also, the Hagon shock was slightly longer than the OEM...
This seems to have raised the ride height and it now leans over way too much on the side stand...
I'll have to get someone to weld a piece in to extend the stand - anyone else had this problem?
Cheers...
