sounds like you'll need a stress break sometime in Oct , (well that's how I'd sell it)

I think the motoGP is on the 28th Oct so there will be a lot of bike and police presence either side of the weekend.
Mitch I am thinking of getting an 850 so let me know if you are selling

I know we keep getting later in the year but the weather up here being what it is, the best riding is from late September to Christmas,
Azza, can you have a chat to the Tourist park and see if they will hold your deposit till say the end of Oct, if it's possible then to my mind any of the weekends in October after the Labor day (NSW) weekend would be best.
this far out I can get leave for when I need to, so to choose a date best for the max possible attendance I would like to hear from as many of you as possible.
Options are
1. Oct 12-15
2. Oct 19-22
3. Oct 26-29
I have look at events in the Snowies and there is nothing that conflicts with us, though the Snowy Ride is on the first weekend in Nov
Let's hear from you all please
from Brentong 's last post the last weekend in Oct is probably a clash , I reakon the 12-15 is the best
Lets have some input Chaps

The GP is definitely on the 26th-28th.
Considering that I nearly got tasered by WA Police, who were dealing with the motorcycle traffic eastbound for the 2010 PI GP and westbound for a bikie war, I am happy with anyone for wanting to stay off the road around that time.
My calendar tells me nothing about October yet, except that I've marked the important days (when I get paid) and that there will indeed be weekends... so I'm gonna say that I can do any weekend October.
So please choose one with less rain than our last attempt.

Hi Azza and everyone,
they are indeed, and its bloody cold. But, the snow line is quite high and many are feeling an early spring might be on the cards. I myself am still happy to go along with the 12-15 Oct. Berridale or Dalgety, dont care-------
cheers Graeme

Hi all, no one is replying and I cant help but think it may in some part be because I still appear as "rtt manager". Many will know that Trotski is the manager of the upcoming TDUT. It is the custom of the forum for "managers" of the RTT's to retain the title even after the event. Confusing if you dont know it. Its a nice recognition of past efforts but maybe a bit too confusing? I am about to suggest to "admin" that my title be removed for the purposes of clarity.
cheers Graeme

Cold? that must be relative just looked at your temp it is around 4 degrees C 9 hours ago it was 8.5 degrees C, we are in the middle of our summer and are currently experiencing a warm spell and it is currently at 14 degrees C in the centre of the UK, shirt sleeve and shorts weather.
For a challenging summer try the
Round Britain Rally.....
1993 TDM 850 Mk1 ..... 2008 TDM 900 .... 1975, 1979, 1982, 1992 Goldwings, Scott, AJS, Triumph 5TA

Hi R, for sure, its what you get used to. I reckon 14 is a nice day here as well, during winter and so long as the sun is out. In summer of course it might be 40 but so long as humidity is low its bearable. comfortable even, if its very low, but as soon as humidity rises, 20 odd degrees can be very unpleasant.
So long as the roads are dry, thats the main thing!!
cheers Graeme

in the absence of any more discussion on dates,I'll declare the weekend of 12-15 Oct at Berridale as the New Date, and I don't bear any responsibility for the weather

If we can get a show of hands for the 12th-15th of Oct, then we can think about making a call and booking some bunks... numbers dictate price... who's keen?

Woohoo!!
So many repeat offenders on Carpe.
G'day brentong,
So you got rid of the truck? It was a good looking machine and ticked all the boxes, but for the most important one... you didn't sound as if you liked it.
Hmmm... TDM... but which one this time... Will you be checking the oil next time out, or discussing the finer points of EFI taming?
