A friend of mine asked me a question and I could not answer.
Please, anyone can help?
Model tdm 900 2005 has some mechanical change from the 2008 model?
Or just or just dress?
Is there any change / failure that has been corrected in 2008?

Think ABS came in @ 2006
There were a couple of changes to the air box flap around the same time, but this is probably EU only to deal with emmissons regulations.
Not sure of any changes related to known failure.

Yamaha recalled the TDM900 up to 2005 for a faulty Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
Mk2a 2000 in Silver. Top end Refurb @ 41100 miles, Scottoiler, Renthal Road High Bars, Up & Back Bar Risers, Bellypan, DL650 Handguards, Capt. Our great & beloved Root Admin is right : TPS safety recall for 2002-2005 models.
Tensionner issue was for years 2002 to 2004. The tensionner was changed in 2005.
Sorry dmmsta, the ABS model was issued in 2005 (2B0) along with the non-ABS (5PS).
Also no airbox mod, just a new EURO3 ECU / catalytic exhaust in 2007 and a new seat.
