many thanks for all the comments, I've spent a few quid beefing up my shed and added extra locks to the bike.
Now I need to find a replacement ignition barrel.
All this cash expenditure has killed off my thoughts of the bike show this weekend, scrotes.... meh.

need your help on this... ignition barrel wanted.

After reading many review, and after an attempt being made on my garage last year, I've just bought a Xena XX14. Should do the trick.

Glad I live where I do.
Mines parked on the road with a cover over it day & night, no chains no locks, don't even put the alarm on.
Oh the steering lock is on.
Don't think I could ever live in an urban environment again.
Glad to hear you improved security without too much expense.

Guys,
I am in the shooting game and these cartridges go off with a big bang and about a two foot ball of fire. There is no chamber to put it in so the cartridge splits its side and it all goes up. Not something you want around petrol and your bike. In the garden under a plastic bottle fine but nowhere near you bike.

Ever thought of using an electric fence unit like those used for horse tape. Wired up to the mains or a car battery to give a 12v dc belt. Perfectly legal but just you try hanging on to one rotflmmfao.gif

My local Aldi still has a few alarmed padlocks that can be used as a disk lock. I've got one and it seems OK.

I don't see how you can be prosecuted for experimenting with the effects of electricity on a bike, failing that tell them your where attempting to build a time machine 1.21 jigawatts biggrin.gif Or get this for your garage, it stops the Car jackers in Jo-berg.

bad luck indeed. regarding disc locks, i have heard a tale of spraying the disc lock and disc with sumtin loike liquid nitrogen or some such cold stuff and then striking the affected area with a lump hammer and it shatters the disc, then they could wheel the bike away i suppose !!!

I'm from an area in OZ where crime is pretty rife, specially car and bike theft.

Keep my steed in Garage, but my staffy and kelpie have access.

Don't know about animal laws in UK, but here if intruders are in house or back yard dogs have right to attack.

Not even the birds can land in back yard, the kids love the blood.

Get yaself a good vicious dog and no fecker will touch ya bike.
