Am I the only one that hates the bloody narrator they always use with the low voice that sounds like he has had a cold for the last two years? I can hear everything else but him!

Oh year guess who's going for a hearing aid assesment next week and I'm only bloody 51! (today I must add, wheres me sodding cake?)

Other than that whinge you can't knock his balls and commitment, his sanity maybe another matter, a real man would have done it on a 4TX.......

In fairness he's a bit of a nut job but you'd have to be to do some of the things he's done !

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

not enough of the engineering mods on the bike, too much blethering by the narrator spinning it out.

Much as I like GM, and hugely admire whats he's done in racing, and so many other fields ... I wasn't so sure about this one.

The magic of recreating a real event seemed to be lost, as it never happened outside of the movie , and the "jump" seemed to be just to get extra drama, and McQueen star value to boost 1963 ticket sales (I watched it then :-) ). And so much was faked (Triumph bike not BM etc etc). And the bike jumping thing seems to have moved on so much in 55 years - just look at any modern motocross race!

The real story was bl..dy amazing and inspirational, and tragic for 50-odd of them. GM description of those parts was great. More so than the bike bits, for me.  Respect to those brave guys back in the real tunnels … and good luck to GM on his NEXT programme.
