Thinking of getting some hard panniers on the 900 to match the Givi top box.

What have other folk fitted?

Seems to be not a great choice - Givi V35 seem to be the popular option.

Any others I'm missing?

Givi E21 - no longer made but excellent if you can find them; cheap too. Suit the rounded style of the bike, I think.

Attached File  TDM Baxters crop.JPG   205.64KB   3 downloads

Givi E22 replaced the 21s - more angular and lids awkward, from what I have read.

Both these need the flat-backed side frames or a Wingrack. Those can mount any Monokey box.

The V35s need a specific curved mounting frame. I got a set of these with the bike but have not used them since they are wide and I haven't yet needed the extra capacity. In fact mine are Kappa K35s - just the same if maybe less smartly finished. Same for any Givi stuff - Kappa do the same item, and their racks share the same fitting instructions. The first two pix in my Gallery show these fitted.

I’ve got V35’s on mine and I really rate them highly. Great for touring or a trip to the supermarket. For day to day running around I usually use a Jofama soft tail pack, I’m not keen on top boxes for some reason.

I used E21's for my first couple of years touring but 'upgraded ?' to v35s which I prefer because of the extra capacity and also I find the inner bags very hotel friendly.

I still remember absent mindedly putting my e21's on the hotel bed to unpack and finding chain grease all over the cover when I removed them.

Yikes !

I'm not sure if the rack would fit my mk1 Paul, I think it might be possible to modify it but I wouldn't know how tbh.

Sorry to OP for straying off-topic.

I too have the E21.  No idea if still available, but Kappa made a version too.  Essentially, rebadged Givi kit.

Narrow, but still a decent space inside.  We're not camping this time around and we therefore have one pannier each and the top-box is a shared space.

E35s are also a fine option, just that bit wider though.

I have very old Kappa panniers (at a guess they are 40L each) which oddly are the Mono-Lock variety. I also Have brand new Givi E21's which are Monokey which means I hafta swap over the sides on the Kappa Wing rack sould I decide to use them. Wife has V35's and loike TR7Dan says above they are very user friendly with the proper inner bags.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

I've got hard and soft. I prefer the hard ones just because they're easy and quick to secure.

You have a pm Paul.  Apparently the PLA336 kit will fit a mk1 with a little modding.
