I'm a bit wary of evilbay, so unless I can contact the seller I'm out on that.

I am breaking my Silver TDM 850 4tx 01 28,000 miles which I sadly blew up last week , the big end went resulting in ruined barrel and bits of piston in the crank.
The rest of the bike was in perfect working order. Recent work prior to big end collapse , incl new starter relay, Bridgestone back tyre with perhaps 600 miles on it, goodridge hosing all round.
As yet nothing has gone bar the down pipes.
Please feel free to ask about any of the parts I can forward on pics if required.
thanks
Simon
Hi Simon,
Just attempted to revive my 4TX rear brake but the caliper is too shagged to make it worhtwhile. Do you have a rear brake assembly available? Caliper needed in particular (the twin-pot type as per Wicky's thread here ) but will happily take any amount of the gubbins through master cylinder and reservoir. Judging by the state of the caliper the whole system is probably in need of fettling....
Let me know please.
Thanks

Hi Trebor and Stef ,
I finally got round to getting the shock off but unfortunately the pre load adjuster is locked solid and I have broken a few teeth(not mine the adjuster's) while trying to free it.
So I guess its of no use to you both
sorry for the delay

Do you have a leak free radiator with working fan? I'm also after a pair of carburettor clips that attach them to the inlet hoses from the engine.

Gutting, sorry to hear it. Any idea what caused the big end failure? seems pretty low mileage.

Nope , there was the correct fill in it, I just held it in the red line in 2nd top when I thought I was in top gear, when I saw I wasn't doing the speed I should have I realised I still had a gear to go, and then bang , just over revving it I think. Pretty sure the piston got a dink then fractured into the crank resulting in a fairly big mess. The cylinder head was left untouched which was surpirsing.
So my fault in the end pity as I thought I was going to be rinding it for another 80000
