Renntec's reply: Hi Tony,

Thank you for your email.

I will need to send quotes to each customer as the carriage costs may differ depending on where they are.

I will then need to take payment for all customers so we know it is a confirmed batch.

From then when we have all payments, production will be approx 4 weeks.

Kind Regards
Hannah

So I guess send your email to Renntec info@renntec.co.uk  quoting the part number REN10062B

Hannah will calculate your shipping cost then you place the order. When she has the magic ten, we get our bars.

Go for it guys

I sent Renntec a second EMail--

Thanks for the quick reply I take it VAT is in there? can I have a phone number to phone my card details to you (not too keen on putting it all in an EMail)-and just in case-If someone backs out do I get a refund or am I stuck waiting?(I understand the quote is for 30days but is there a cut of point if the order dose not complete).

          Thanks Mick

This was the answer--

Hi Mick,

The number to call with payment is 01202 826722.

The finish for the Engine Bars is Black Gloss only.

What I will do is take your payment info and hold them until Friday - I am away after friday for two and a half weeks, but as it looks promising I will put a batch of 10 into production on Friday if we have a few more confirmations and take payment then so when I am back they shouldn't be too far off being ready. There won't be a cut off day, I will leave the info with my colleague Karen if we do not have anymore confirmations this week and I will get her to release the batch when enough people have confirmed.

Yes, the prices below include 20% VAT.

Kind Regards
Hannah
Renntec Ltd. 65-69 Azura Close, Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross, Dorset, BH21 6SZ, T: 01202 826722

I have now paid up,But I am the only one so far so stop being shy stick yer 'and in yer pocket--There are three of us haveing x2 sets (according to Renntec) so getting 10 will be easy and like I have said before if you miss this order you will have to start again so it makes sense to jump in now.

                                                                                                             Mick

I just got the response back from Renntec.  Postage is £58!!  So my $90 bars just turned into $187 bars!

I don't want to screw over this whole group buy and back out, but I certainly wasn't anticipating postage to be more than the cost of the bars.

If you are happy with your TDM and want to keep it, the engine bars are an investment, how much will it cost to buy and get parts posted for accident damage if it happend and can you get any other bars in the states for less (and yes I am trying to sell this my TDM will be on the road in the next few weeks an.d over the winter I want some protection these bars are far cheaper than the only other ones I have seen) so I hope you stick with it and the rest of you overseas people you know it makes sense

No idea why overseas people came out in bold text cant edit it.

As a product tester for these :-) , they're worth the postage in damage prevented.
Three times this year I dropped my mk2 and it's only cost me an indicator lens.
Oh yeah! And a new 9er. Lol

My engine bars are £66 which includes VAT if yours are the same theres your answer (if they are less theres you answer as well) but Canada may charge import tax,I would pay import tax if the goods are over an amount Which I think is about £130ish (cant be arsed to look it up) unless it was from a european country.

At the end of the day  Rentec I am sure will charge you accordingly.

Once Diesel ;) (that was the indicator), the other two courtesy of a Hagon rear shock and short legs, .

Living and learning.  :blush2:

Pretty sure when I bought my bars from Renntec, they were near on £100 a pop.

So these are a steal.

I have recieved this today.

Hi Mick,

Just a quick message to let you know that your payment has gone through for your Engine Bars and production will start late tomorrow.

Kind Regards
Hannah

So anyone who hasnt paid get in quick-When they say production will start I think you will find that is the start of the order process not actuall  makeing the bars.
