Guys, I need to share this with you as it will save you a fortune, we've all bought Muck-off Visor cleaner those handy sprays to keep in ya pocket when out, on average £3.50 for 32ml.

Well I've been using this cleaner and have to say it works better and a load cheaper, I bought a £1.99 spray off of eBay. The solution from Screwfix at a cost of £8.99 and that's it. Removes flies tar and all that crap so easy.

http://www.screwfix....ng-liquid/52406

Forgot to say for my outlay of £10.98 I can make up 28 gallons of this stuff !!

Couple of the ingredients of that stuff look like bad news for your visor, may be fine on glass but I wouldn't want to use it on polycarbonate

I use a small spray of lens and screen cleaner from the pound shop. It is designed for plastic screens so doesn't harm the visor and lifts the bugs ok. Has lasted for ages, so no complaints.

A wet piece of kitchen towel left on the visor a while does it for me. And a rag and water pot for the bike.

A warning, PC screen wipes should be avoided. Guy at work tried one on his AGV - the visor went milky and ruined.

only use a wet and a dry microfibre cloth. put them in the tankbag when on the road or leave the wet one on the visor to soak for half an hour. so no chemicals to destroy my visor and the cleaning performance is sufficient

A wet piece of kitchen towel left on the visor a while does it for me. And a rag and water pot for the bike.

Same here - it gets rid of everything that has ever landed on my visor, including a bug the size of a small bird with yellow blood in Normandy!

On a slightly different subject be very careful cleaning Pinlock inserts, a normal kitchen towel will scratch them badly.

I am a bit suspicious of kitchen towel used dry. It seems to have a coating. So I first screw it into a ball to try to break up the surface then open it up to use. So far so good, I think.

I've always used wet wipes, flatten them on the visor leave a couple of minutes and everything comes off.
I also use asda cheap furniture polish to bead the rain off. Never caused any problems to visor.

I try to shake these buggers off before the blood dries, effectively letting them slip off in their own insides :-)
