I have taken the plunge and replaced my (near) 40,000 miler with ... another silver TDM900A.

Very low miles and very much less cost-to-change than a new Tracer which was, to my mind, the only realistic alternative.

So far so good, although engine does not seem as smooth as my (very well run-in :-) ) example.

The bikes is spotless and I kept my own (Givi) luggage etc. ... all set for rest of the summer into the future and hopefully will last me another 40,000 miles or more ...

Pete

Nice looking bike Pete

how do you get on with the bagster harness? Did you have to trim it to fit around the seat catch on the tank?

Nice one Pete,

Funny how many of us when thinking of a change end up with another TDM.......................................

But then again, perhaps not!!

Hi Pete,

I was just looking at the roadsign, hope you didn't buy it from around there. Some very dodgy geysers are from South Tyneside!!!!!

Haha Colin ... nowt wrong with us canny folk of Shields. I am sure Ivan agrees as well .. Actually, the dealer, Ian Bell, is in Bedlington and is a very successful sidecar racer (check Southern 100 this year), as well as an effective purveyor of the famous Yamaha brand.

A telling point Dave! This is my 4th buying decision, (fairly) carefully researched tests, data, seeing other people's experiences and anecdotes ... and still came back to TDM!

The superb Tracer awaits, but I hit 70 in three and a half years and I guess I may then be be too old for semi-hooligan bike.

The Bagster harness is off my old bike and it fitted OK with a bit of pushing and pulling - I have a tank cover to go on.

Pete
