Whilst in France last week I saw the new Ducati Scrambler and immediately wanted one. I am going to book a test ride and hope I don't like it to put me off buying.
I don't want to change my TDM and only have the room and the money for one bike.
Any opinions on the Scambler will be appreciated.

It's got a nice name.
Look forward to hearing about your test ride.

Hi Gasman!
I've never been near a Ducatti.
I'm curious about the return on your test
Test? Test? Test?
Cheers!

I am in love with my 1997 900SS. Definitely not a good idea if it's your only means of transport, but very rewarding.

I could be tempted by the earlier model 1100 Multistrada ( branded "ugly" by the journo's)
They look great and seem to go bl..dy well - but I am not able to keep up with belts changes etc etc
Scrambler looks great for a second/fun bike (like my Thruxton I guess - but without the emotional connection)

I have always thought Ducatis were ridden by spoilt rich people, and sound like a bag of spanners, but now I have the hots for one.
.
I feel the same way about Carol Vorderman.

TDM 850 Loud and unusual. CRM 250r Woo hoo! DT 230 Lanza Fiddled with.... Bloody hell, is that legal? GG Randonee AKA "I didn't think that was possible".

It was not at all what I was expecting. It was firm and fast not cushy as I thought. To be honest it's not for me all it needs is clip ons and a fairing to become a middle weight sports bike.
A nice bike but not for my advanced years. I am glad really as it saved me a lot of money, and relieved as I can keep my TDM without wondering what might have been.

Who needs anything else other than the TDM anyway

You'd better not try the new MT-07variant XSR700 then.

I wish I could but it's not out until the end of the year.
