I'm sure it was on this site that a couple of years ago someone mentioned that a German company offered insurance cover to foreign vehicles. Does anyone remember or know anything about insuring foreign cars abroad? We drive an English registered car in Hungary, bring it back for it's mot but have to use an English insurance company which costs us a fortune. Hungarian insurance companies won't insure us as the car's not Hungarian and it would cost between 2-3 grand to re register it here!! There must be companies out there that insure foreign registered vehicles..........................
Cheers,
Paul

Hi OF.uk
It's ADAC if I remember right, also think that you have to turn up with all your doc's etc before they will issue the insurance cirt.
The best thing to do is have search on Horizonsunlimited web site.
Sorry I could not have been more help but it starting point.

PS I think they are the equivalent of our RAC/AA?
