Headlight Adjustment Niner ?

Ok, been with my niner for half a year now. Liking it a fair bit... So much in fact, that I almost have skipped the thought of upgrading it to a F800/1200 GS.
There is alot to like in the TDM, but one thing really bugs me... It is quite sensitive to weight-changes, that is, I ride alot with the misses on the pillion, and also with shifting luggage weight in my panniers. I will try to deal with the difference in handling by upgrading to Hyperpro suspension all over (also making it ALOT easier to access spring preload !). However, car/fellow motorcyclists continuously falshses me because my headlight beam is adjusted to signal UFO's. and I just can't seem to get the damn thing to good base setting...
What do you guys do ?. I tried adjusting with a Phillips screwdriver, but it's really hard to 'feel' the adjuster in the headlight... I would think it's made of plastic ?!. Also, I don't seem to have a horizontal adjuster on me niner ?.

I usually carry a screwdriver to adjust and have learned how many turns it needs. One small sticker with up and down directions stuck under the front helps.

"I need to get mine up higher" - as the bishop said to the actress.........
Here's the appropriate bit from a manual. Do you not have one? They are available on JBX's site IIRC. Check you get the correct date version.
