Come on you world war buff's, saw this old jeep outside a pub in Meltham near Huddersfield, anybody know make, model and what era it would be from. :unsure2:   

 

Wont let me upload file size's bigger than 30.76KB , hence poxy size photo's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to be able to upload bigger photo's as per previous posts but won't even let me upload those anymore.

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

........am I correct in remembering that 'Jeep'........originally denoted GP........i.e 'General Purpose' vehicle in military terms.....?

I'd have also said Willys......but ,of course, I guess 'Jeeps' were made by 'whoever', to government spec. under contract.....
so Ford also?......didn't know that,.
Isn't 'Jeep' now part of Chrysler....if such an entity still exists ?........don't know who Willys were, maybe a separate manufacturer
taken under Chrysler wing, during the major rationalisations of the fifties / sixties.......respect to Packard, Studebaker, DeSoto, etc
who vanished.....unlike Chevrolet, Pontiac, Dodge, Plymouth(?)' etc who were merely enveloped and became 'badge engineered'

I would have said Willys simply because my Dad used to work on them. Sadly can't ask him now whether there was ever a Ford made version.
