Much as I love my 9er the Showa suspension on the Buell is just so much better. I’ve refreshed both ends of the Yam - M-Shock at the rear, Hyperpro springs at the front - and never really had an issue until I got the Buell. It’s just so much more compliant, tracks better, better damping, etc. It makes a real difference on the backroads around here.

I think the Buell suspension on the 9er would be a great combination, but what do I call it?

Buellaha is a bit Alan Partridge, possibly Yamauell would be better?

BTW. This is not going to happen!

Yamaha's own BT1100 Bulldog looks a bit Buell loike in my eyes.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

Is there a straight-swap donor bike for this?

Shame on me! (and thank you)

I should have thought to look there!

Interesting that it's so straight forward.

If I get the buffeting issue sorted, then the TDM is probably a keeper.

And if so, then when it's time for new tyres, I could investigate.

Lad,  have a look at using 10mm, 20mm or 30mm nylon stand offs with the oe screen and see if that helps with the buffet  it's a cheap mod.   :cake eating:
