I've only dipped in to the early bits of this thread due to being a relative newbie and that is no small rebuild you've done, and all outside.
I'd have thought twice and have 2 sheds and a garage with electric and work in an engine shop, my hat is well and truly off to you, even dabbled in a tad of covid just give yourself an excuse to slack off but got there and it's now sweet.
Get out there and enjoy it, you've bloody well earned it, don't worry about insurance values it's there for riding not worrying.
Thanks Dave, i did get to put the engine back together in the office upstairs but that's it, often felt like dousing the bike in petrol and setting it alight the weathers not kind to her outside so i'll forever be fettling, have plans to redo the seat next year along with a bit of repainting me thinks and odds and sods, love the mk2 rear sprocket as acceleration is lubberly but the wallet dont like it, i'm average 43 miles per gallon just now
