I have been collecting spare plastics over the years and had a full set and decided a change of colour was in order. I was going to get them done professionally, but decided to have a go myself on the basis that if it didn't turn out good enough, i had only spent a few quid on aerosols. I had plenty plastic primer from a previous job and bought three tins of Autotek Professional Gloss White for £27 from the Bay of Fleas. I also gave them a coat of lacquer as I had a tin left. I am really pleased with the result. I decide to paint the front mudguard and rear panels white too. If I didn't like it, I could always go back to black. I like the look. I also had the rear hangers powder-coated, as well as the footpegs, gear and brake levers. I am delighted with the end result. Will get the hangers done on the blue bike next.

I did. It was white, but stained and needing a repair. I repaired it then used white Vinyl Dye on it.

My secret is out. What can I say? Glad you like it, Martin. I don't see it going back to black in the near future.
