I bought these little lights from Ebay the other week, basically they are MR16 bulbs within a chrome housing. I bought them as they were small and were to be used as reversing lights on the Day Van (now sold)
Playing around in the garage this evening suddenly found that they would fit under the fairing using the black self tapper to hold the side fairing panel on.
They came with 50 watt blue bulbs as shown in pic one. I have replaced them with LED MR16 clear bulbs to reduce the strain on the Alternator.
Not wired in as yet and will do this tomorrow.
I'll be back with my findings.
Anyone else come across these little fellas?

I am interested in your findings though CB. Where did you get
the replacement LED bulbs from?
They do look nice though!

Hi Matt
Get them through work. They are around £6.00 each. I have used the led bulbs before on my Tenere, results were good.
I'm stripping the bike down for a big clean and oil as she's been outside all winter, will wire them up then.

I have got a set of these on my 9'er. though they are bright I think my modified pilot light is better.

Im impressed with the LED bulbs, much brighter than I had expected. See how long they last as LED's on my bike tend to frizzle after a short while
What say you?

They are 12v so work fine, no amps either.

Why not stay at home then instead of destracting other road-user's attention, potentially endangering others? It's not all about you, imagine if everyone was riding around with these irritating flash-lights all the time

Sounds like your Christmas and New Year was fun and games anyway why not have extra lights, if it helps being seen I'm for it. They mount on the underside of the fairing? Do they touch any part of the forks, particularly when fully depressed? thats the forks being depressed not you

On the 900 there is a self tapper on the inside of the side fairing. I used a slightly longer screw which holds the bracket nicely. There is no touching of the forks to the lights in fact they were made for it.
How about yellow? Even brighter and more annoying.
And the reason I'm paranoid is a Zafira pulling out on me when bringing the bike back to Berkshire 2 days ago, too busy checking on the kids in the back, I'm wearing Ivan's yellows and not speeding, he's forcing me to an oncoming car.
Annoying others with my lights, I really dont give a Shit.

Dunno, but when you come collect your calendars I'll let you have a couple of 'samples' to try.

Odd that, my bro brought his Zaf over here last year, I was insured on it but wasn't keen as they have a massive blind spot - between the A-post and the windscreen pillar there's more than enough to hide a bike (or small group of children). No amount of Christmas tree lights is going to help either () An appealing bit of design, worth avoiding I reckon.

Agreed, I'm not that manic. Put the LED ones back in, will road test when the ice goes from around the area. I want to be seen and not to dazzle others.
Said before, fitted yellow ones to the Tenere, worked really well.
