OK I give up!! Where in Brissy did you get it? der interwebs is showing none in country! but they're quoting a gnats nuts under $20G Aus which is about what I expected. Looks noice and comes in all over silver too apparently.
Howsomever since my niner only has just over 30.000km on the clock I cant see me shelling out for a new chariot just yet, and anyway the handbrake says I cant make another withdrawal on me superannuation this side of me 60th birthday. I'll wait and see if they socialise the thing into a SuperTDM. I bet they will.....why waste a new donk on one model.

cheers Giza

Is that the 'cheaper' version we've been promised here in Blighty? If so, I suppose its rude to ask how the price compared with the 'full blown' version we have seen.

I bought mine from Bayside Yamaha at Capalaba but Team Moto Moorooka have 1 Jimboomba Yamaha have 1, and i know Pro Yamaha at Slacks creek have 1. i am told only 7 came to Queensland out of the first batch. RRP is $19,990 AUD plus on roads for the stocker and i think $21,790 RRP for the OUTBACK version which i was told were all pre sold.

Fantastic bike to ride, the 1200cc is a bit like a TDM with a Turbo.

Christ on a bike! I'm at Wellington Pt! and have never seen another TDM round here, its all R1's and CBR's.
Not to mention all the stimulus package Hardly Running cruisers with scarves on (I'd be embarassed to show my face on a Harley too!)
I'm about to book in for a service and rear brake fix at Capalaba Yam. (yes my brake troubles have returned as predicted)
Keep yer eyes open for a Silver TDM with an old phart perched on it. As to a new super ten....The memsahib says noooooo!

cheers Giza

You will then see my traded TDM sitting out the front for sale at Capalaba, great bike goes well with the Power commander and Remus cans.

How long before someone 'roadifies' a Super Ten into a 'big bore TDM'?

I'm Green. They are landing here in South Africa with panniers etc for Rand 130 000.00 (GBP 11 100.00 and Aud $ 21 600.00).

I'm looking forward to a test.

Not many TDM's out here, 850 or 900. Everyone stops and looks tho'. Mine's a 2001 blue with 20 000km and I've been asked many times is it new. They really hold their looks in our gentle climate.

You guys need to test the cape roads, and the trails on that 1200.

I have a planned returned to the Cape next winter and hope to get out to the desert in what is left of this year, so far a nice long distance bike with more comfort than the TDM and feels lighter to ride, engine wise the 1200 feels more like a TDM900 with a turbo with all the extra torque.

Cheers Rick

Silver 2002 TDM

Well being more or less retired I dont get out as much (not in this miserable bloody weather anyway). I'm just off Mains Rd roundabout. I'm on a silver 06 with a scratched fairing on the RH side and a Givi on the back.
I think I've seen 3 TDMs (all niners) since I bought mine at the now gone City Yamaha in 2007 and one of them was in the shop for a 200.000 km service !!!
Was hoping to take the "handbrake" down past Terranora, NSW this w/e but the likely weather and too soft rear brake has buggered that idea so I'll be navigating in the bosses motor! Oh well it gets me out of the house.
