Galilee

It's a nice place you suggest but it seems that this place is a little too big. When I see the number of peoples involved, a hotel with 10 beds will be enough.
And it is a little far away....

I can't remember about Norwegian cake but their beer and wine was very expensive when I was there a year ago.

They do take smaller groups as well, but it wasn't really a serious suggestion. I guess you get more participants the more central the event is.

I think the ideal place would be reachable from most of europe by 1 days driving.... wich puts us around switzerland/black forest (south)- area.

Just read this after a great fortnight in Scotland, excellent proposal there Ian, I would be ready to join a international meet and have a modicum of French language experience.

Last thoughts - what about a joint member posting a link to this thread on the new TDM site as a friendly gesture and to ensure coverage? And any point in somebody telling MCN or whatever, once plans have been set??

I would be keen as mustard for this anniversary G2G, gives me time to save some pesos for the flight. Will try to persuade my German girlfriend to pillion if she has not got her licence by then. As far as I know their are only 2 Carpe members in NZ so that would be a 50% representation.

My job's almost done too, bar a few odds and ends. The Vosges has been mentioned as a possible location. Whether or not that is the final choice, I'll just add a note here that anybody making a trip there should aim to ride up Le Grand Ballon, the highest point in the area. The views are stunning - on a clear day you can see as far as the Eiger/Moench/Jungfrau group in Switzerland, which IIRC is well over 200 km

Ciao,

Good-day,

Sorry for the delay in reply …

The message has immediately caught our attention and all are very enthusiastic about this project.

Here is my brief introduction

I have volunteered to be one of the TDMitalia “English” speaking representatives. If you agree / accept, I can play the role of facilitator by keeping in place a continuous two-way communication between TDMitalia and Carpe-TDM on all related to this project. I will be committed to convey messages properly and free of bias.

I would like to emphasis that TDMitalia is looking forward in providing support to the event. We have many active members and are well organised therefore please keep us in consideration as supporters.

Lamps!
Sammy
