I was just sitting around playing with Autoroute and ended up planning a route for a ride of approx 115 miles then got to thinking about an East Anglian G2G for perhaps March time ....................

What ya reckon?

March is ok.

In fact, we have had a g2g in March/April for the last few years. What route have you got? We've done mid Norfolk for one run, North Essex/West Cambs/South Norfolk for another and also an East Suffolk/coastal run over the last few years.

I only know some of those roads, but looks ok to me.

Brampton services for start venue maybe?

Probably a good idea to arrange Coffee/cake stops for about an hours ride at a time to allow for regrouping etc. 3-4 stops in total? If I remember correctly, there's a layby with a burger van on the A10 just North of Ely. Don't know if it's there at weekends, though. You also have several options at the top of the A10 if you venture slightly further North onto the Hardwick ind est at King's Lynn with the usual range of fast food places. Tesco is there for a fuel stop too.

Depending on numbers and opinions, maybe head up to Hunstanton as it's only 1/2 hour or so from King's Lynn.

Looks ok but isn't it mainly highly populated by the rozzers??

Hunstanton looks good too..

I'm pretty easy as long as they are fastish roads!!

I think that it is a lousy route, ill conceived and slapdash in every respect.

Particularly the respect that I move to the Isle of Wight in Feb!

Have fun you lucky old sods, I'll be bounded by 12 x 24 miles of coast line!

up for Sunny Hunny mate, have chish a fips there and there is a Tesco express on the way out for fuel stop.

Jolly, just a little info fella, Single carriageway = National speed limit - 60mph and Dual Carriageway = 70mph, i feel it would be very irresponsible to suggest that we plan a route that would allow us to break those limits with or without police presence

Sounds good to me, ceteris paribus.
I don't care where we go as long as I can hang around at the back being slow, and there are plenty of stops for cake and/or bacon sarnies.

You'll just have to wait for the cake to catch up then won't you. tongue.gif

How can you have a 'good McDonalds' ?

Sounds good to me but I'll have to double check dates
