I would like to join you on this run if possible, could not make it this year. I actually live 20 mins inland from Mt St Michel, in France, so I would meet you mid route on the Thursday morning (or you could call in here for coffee!) If there are any problems on the accommodation front for anyone on the basis of cost, there may be an alternative. I did a run down to the Dijon area two weeks ago. Normally I camp, but this time I stayed in a Gite de France, Gite de Group. Dormitory accommodation with full kitchen facilities. For the first one I paid 16.50 a night, including sheets and the second 20 euros. You have to buy and cook your own food and you never know who you are sharing with (although I had a room to myself on both occassions).

Can find out more if there are any takers.

Well, for me, being invited into a French home would be wonderful. Of course you can join us. Be great!

Might be a French house, but you will still be subject to Yorkshire hospitality!

The part nobody goes back to....Kingston upon Hull!!

No potted whippet, but they do a good line in "Ragondin Paté" if there is a demand for me to get some in.

I may not be from Scotland, but my wife is so have got both bases covered.
