If you bring fork seals, fork oil and top bushes we can do them on the day. Best bring plenty of rag it's gets a bit messy.
I'll bring down the 43mm special fork tools and front stem stand. Have quick look under the dust caps to see if the wire clips have rotted that hold the seal in. If they are rough or rotted new clips might be a good idea.

You're a gent Leehenty. I'll get the bits sorted out. Got some pitting on the forks although not within the range of travel, that I'm a bit worried about. Will bring some fine grade wire wool? and tackle that too.
I'm a Michelin tyre technician but my experience is with buses. Can offer brute force and top of the range Tiger Grease and lube.

Ok I'll add that to the list, I'll be there with my usual selection of gear. If you can obtain 1200 -1600 grit wet and dry paper, that will be the best to use on the pitting. Chrome is hard.
I'll have to be in my cage as I need to carry a lot of kit. Mind yer knees on me tow ball vice, it bites.
PM AliG for his addy
So far, we seem to have your forks, Muddy's chain and sprox and AliG's mirror thread conversions on his Tiger (10min job, made bits already)
Anyone else got special jobs planned ? Come on, don't be shy.
At this rate I'll be able to eat more than last time.
Bring the stainless stuff Mr Bling!!
I'll bring me vernier and thread pitch kit to see what horror's a BMW conceals.

I've got the same problem. I applied araldite and fine gritted. I got a nice and smooth finish, though it's got some edges back again now. My fork oil and seals need doing at some point as well, but I'll hold out until I can afford to re-chrome the stanchions. You're a gent Leehenty. I'll get the bits sorted out.
