OK guys and gals,

I've established that this place http://www.demesnefarmcampsite.co.uk/ can accommodate us for the weekend of 7th September and have reserved an eight bed room. Cost is £15.00 pppn which includes linen. The bunkhouse can take 16 max and if we can fill it we get it a bit cheaper.

So it's down to you ungodly lot now!! Send me yer money to book yer place £30.00 cheques will get you Friday and Saturday nights. PM me for my address. Cheques made out to 'Demesne Farm'.

The place is 100 metres from pubs and shops so is handy for drinking and eating. The local roads are blinding and twenty minutes will get us into southern Scotland for those who need a touch of culture. drinks.gif drinks.gif drinks.gif

Went up to Newcastle at the weekend, to vist the parents, had a chance on sunday to check the area out.

Although I was in the car, I went along the military road B6318, from Heddon-on-the-wall towards Hexam. I had forgot how good that road is, plenty of scenery and good views to overtake, reminded me of America where the roads are dead straight and disappear over the horizion.

Called into Corbridge and we went to "the Blue Bell" pub for dinner.

He has a bike freindly sign outside, room for 20 bikes out back, realy good beer and the size of the meals were huge !!!! rolleyes.gif The plate was wider than me Dads shoulders. Talking to the Landlord Steve, he has room for a few tents out back aswell, if anyone is stuck.

If we could incorporate that into the trip it would be brilliant !!!!

Cheers, Ivan

The local roads are blinding and twenty minutes will get us into southern Scotland for those who need a touch of culture.

On the matter of culture, I've been getting a fair bit of interest from the French TDMers - keen on the idea of a Scottish meet and this might be close enough for some. Would it be a positive move to post something about this G2G on their site? Might add to the fun - they sound to have a fair beer n' biking capacity - and could mop up spare places?
