I bought renthalls for my tdm and dropped it twice at low speed . It twisted the forks rather than bent the bars. As for comfort ,I find that on long jaunts the original bars actually fair better . As the trip wears on you'll tend to lean slightly forward to ease the wind pressure on your shoulders .I found myself arching my back and pushing into the scallop at the back of the seat . With the elbows and knees tucked in I found the wrists fell directly in to the bars position . The renthalls made for a slightly wider bar and helped chuck the bike in a little better. Something to consider ; bent bars or twisted forks?.......... and long distance usability Vs better turn in ?
