Hello fellow TDM-ers, it appears time has come to leave the club ( I know, I know, I'm crazy to sell the TDM, I have already been told). I know my ad will probably attract some criticism as most bikes sold here are sold in pristine condition but I believe I have priced it accordingly, so here it goes:
Honest sale of my 2002 Yamaha TDM 900, please read the whole ad to understand what is 'wrong' with this bike to avoid any disappointments, do not expect a pristine bike:
-missing one mirror as the mirror riser snapped while driving ( I have the mirror) therefore it needs fixing before MOT, the other mirror needs fixing as well as it is currently set up with a temporary fix
-the fairing needs glueing and spraying as it has cracks and it is missing screws, this will require more TLC
-certain rust spots as it has not been used a lot in the past 6 months
Now for the positive bits:
-valve clearance done at 50k
-new chain and sprockets fitted at 50k
-new front tyre fitted 12/2017
-new rear tyre fitted 01/2018
-replaced RH ignition coil
-Oxford heated grips
-central stand
-gel seat pad
-tall windscreen (I have the other one as well)
-original Yamaha top box
-front fork oil has been replaced 04/2018
-oil and filter changed 04/2018
From a mechanical point of view the bike has been maintained however it needs investing in the aesthetical side hence the price. I have the TDM900 stickers for the sides as I wanted to spray the bike myself but never got the time to do it.
Reason for sale: got a new motorcycle
MOT until 30/05/2019
I can be contacted only after 7.00PM. For any other details feel free to ask, bike is located next to Loughborough.
